I simplify. But that doesn’t mean I won’t embellish a little, too.
From deciphering large sets of data to hand-pressing wedding invitations, I enjoy taking ideas and transforming them into visual solutions. I love communicating with people, whether I am presenting my work, putting words in writing, or creating a layout that just makes sense.
After graduating from Washington University in St. Louis in 2008 with a BFA in Visual Communications, I moved to New York City, where I began my design career in publishing. I later worked as an information designer at Addison, where I learned many banking terms I had never before understood from a team of highly intelligent individuals. I returned to my hometown of St. Louis in 2012 to pursue a variety of freelance projects and teach communication design students at my alma mater.
When I am not working on design projects, I spend my free time practicing the fiddle, running, hiking, and trying new vegan recipes. My two favorites are my husband and our dog, Sir Isaac Fig Newton.
