Hi! My name is Amy, and I am a St. Louis-based multimedia designer. I received my BFA in Visual Communications from Washington University in St. Louis and my MFA in Graphic Design from Rhode Island School of Design. I've worked in a lot of different arenas—starting out in NYC in the publishing world as a book designer and editor, and then experiencing agency work as an information designer. I've done in-house work for a cultural institution, production work for a media company, and have freelanced throughout my career. Passionate about working with students, I taught Interaction Design and Northeastern University in Boston, and I currently teach full time in the Communication Design department at WashU's Sam Fox School of Design and Visual Arts. My students inspire me every day.

My hybrid background has led me toward experiential territories. Through immersive installations, compositions, and audio and video, my work explores the multi-sensory, the ambiguous terrain between digital and physical spaces, and the potential for design to amplify environmental awareness. My design experience ranges from video and audio production to motion graphics, user experience, spatial, identity and branding, publication and information design. I'm into a lot of things! For me, it's all about capturing a moment in time and telling a story. Select clients include TSX Broadway, KDHX public radio, The North Star with Shaun King, XYZ Type, New Visions for Public Schools, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Citi Private Bank and PNC Bank.
